Veterans, thank you for your service!  Each day many of the people who come through the doors of Crossroads are living on the streets, or in shelters and lacking the foothold to find their place as productive citizens. The first point person for many of these guests, is Rhonda Green, a case manager at Crossroads, who manages our front desk and daily delivers an attitude of gratitude to our guests.

And it is this attitude that has propelled her to step up and work in the Crossroads Connect Employment Program through our partnership with the United Way in working with veterans experiencing homelessness.

Through the Vets Connect program our partnership efforts combine peer outreach, intensive case management, supportive housing, financial coaching, job training and connections to employment to help homeless vets get back on their feet.

While 80% of these veterans qualify for supportive services, only 32% gain access to services without the assistance of a support organization such as Crossroads.

With over seven years as an employment specialist Rhonda aims to help end homelessness among veterans in Atlanta. “It is rewarding to see the smile on a person’s face when we tell them they now have a permanent home.”, says Rhonda.
