Without Crossroads people who are homeless wouldn’t get any help or have a place to go where they are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. I know because I have been there in my life where I was homeless, needed help and sometimes felt mistreated.
Thanks to the Citizens of Georgia Power, the General Counsel department squared off against the Accounting, Finance and Treasury team to see who could prepare 400 sandwiches the fastest for Crossroads.
What an exciting time to be part of the life-giving ministry taking place here at Crossroads! Our work on behalf of those experiencing homelessness in Atlanta has never been more effective or more in demand.
The staff and Women’s Association of Atlanta United FC regularly partner with Crossroads to help our neediest neighbors, upholding the team principles of we are a football club because we are more than just the team; we are the fans, we are the community, we are Atlanta, taken from the voices of our citizens. We are Atlanta United FC.
Five days a week the volunteers of Crossroads deliver mail, provide over 200 warm meals, distribute toiletry kits, build sandwiches and provide individual job training counseling. And, we truly could not have served as many clients as we did in 2017 without the help of our volunteers. As we springboard into the new year, we want to take a moment to showcase and applaud our volunteers who went above and beyond in 2017.
